The Applicant has been in operation since 1981. Today, Trgometal manufactures and installs metal structures, parts of machines/entire machines and different plants and it performs overhaul work on industrial plants using its own products. It produces complex, high value-added products and installing them in the plants of companies from various sectors of the process industry.
Trgometal''s production process is currently unsatisfactory, and because of its obsolete technology, its production capacity is limited. It is also facing high level of errors in production, insufficient precision, high production costs, high CO2 emissions and high pollution of working environment.
With this project, Trgometal is investing into new CNC machine, that will significantly increase its capacity, which is needed for Trgometal to be able to adequately respond to already existing market demand.
The new CNC laser cutting machine is several times more efficient than the current technology, therefore, it will enable replacement of two existing machines currently in use within the company. There will still remain sufficient capacity for new quantities of production, thus company will be able to assume higher volumes of orders from the existing clients and will be able to assume new clients, both in Croatia and in other European countries/on international market (one of its target client is Konsgberg Group, Norway).
In addition to that, with this investment, Company will be able to offer laser cutting services to other (external) customers, who do not own the CNC cutter.
The investment will enable greening of the production process, as new machines will enable significant savings of energy consumption, in comparison to old ones.
The Company will increase its competitiveness, its operating revenues and its profit.
Summary of project results
Working in metal manufacturing industry, some activities in Trgometal were carried out on the outdated technology . This is why, to be able to remain competitive on the market, Trgometal decided to modernize its production, and the investment into fiber laser cutting machine was needed to increase the productivity, production capacity and quality of their products.
The main activity of the project was purchase of the fiber laser cutting machine. By investing into this piece of machinery, Trgometal significantly modernized their production process, thus increased the productivity and the capacity. The production costs have lowered, and quality of products have improved. This is why the competitiveness of the company has increased, and company is able to attract new customers.
The beneficiaries of this project are company''s workers, who are now working in better conditions (cleaner air, less dust and pollution), working on the equipment which is easier to operate.
As machine is also much faster and consume less energy, contributing ultimately to lower carbon footprint, the beneficiary of this project is the society in general. Society in general will also benefit from the increased employment opportunities that these investments will result with.
The Project Promotor will benefit through increased competitiveness on the market, increased revenue and profit, contributing to increased competitiveness of the entire Croatian economy
