Description

Lipovica has a 50-year tradition in the production of aluminum radiators, but also other aluminum castings. The company has evolved over the years from simple manufacturing to serial production, conquering the market in Europe and the world and creating a recognizable name in the radiator market. It was state owned by Oct. 2021, and is now owned by VIS International GmbH, who has a vision to innovate its production with efficient and sustainable products, making Lipovica recognizable on the global level.

This project is about investment into key equipment that will enable the Company to start recycling of aluminum that it already uses in the production, to be able to reuse it in the production.

Even though Lipovica is already producing aluminum radiators and on the small scale spare parts for the automotive industry, the capacities of the Company, after installation of the aforementioned new equipment, and introduction of this new production process based on recycling will be significantly increased.

In addition, by recycling of aluminum, instead of purchasing primary aluminum for production, Lipovica will significantly shorten its supply chain.

It is expected that project will also lead to significant increase of Company’s revenues and profit.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to address Lipovica’s reliance on primary aluminum, a costly and supply-sensitive raw material, as well as the limited production capacity constrained by existing processes. It also sought to align with the new owner''s vision for more efficient and sustainable manufacturing.

The project involved investing in key equipment that enables the recycling of aluminum already used in production, allowing the company to reuse material internally. This marked the introduction of a new, more sustainable production process and an expansion of operational capacity.

The project resulted in increased production capacity and efficiency for Lipovica, enabling higher revenues and profitability. It also reduced supply chain dependency and environmental impact, benefiting the company, its customers, and the broader community through more sustainable industrial practices.
