Description

The company Gastro Servis'' main activity is the production of custom made refrigerators, shelves, and desks from stainless steel. Approx. 80% of contracts are with big customers.

With this project, the company wants to invest into Fiber Laser Cutting Machine and Grinding Machine. With Fiber Laser Cutting Machine owned by Gastro Servis, the entire production process, will be kept in-house, rather than outsourced, as is now the case.

While Grinding machine will significantly reduce the manual work needed for production of the desired product, both of these will increase Company’s productivity and capacity, thus the Company will be able to take over new orders from new clients. 

The Green Component of this investment will be manifested through reduced CO2 emissions due to elimination of transportation and through lower emissions of dust, since the new machine has specific functionalities that absorb dust.

It is expected that the project will help Gastro Servis to increase its competitiveness its revenues and profit. 

 

 

Summary of project results

The company Gastro Servis'' main activity is the production of custom made refrigerators, shelves, and desks from stainless steel. To produce the final products, Gastro Servis does some cutting in house, using the old eco-unfriendly technology. For fine cutting of metal it uses external services. This option is expensive, and implies that the production process must be stopped, in order for semi-finished products to be delivered to the service provider to do the cutting. Then, after cutting, semi-finished products are returned to the company for finalization of production. 

High costs are coupled with low productivity, and unnecessary CO2 emissions due to transportation. 

With the entire production kept within the company, the challenges can be resolved. 

With this project, the Promotor invested into Fiber Laser Cutting Machine for plate and tube.

The output - innovative technology applied and put into operation has been successfully achieved.  

It is expected that the project will result in double digit increase of revenues and profit of the project promotor by 2024, in comparison to 2019. 

It is also expected that the project will result in savings of CO2 emissions, due to elimination of the need for transportation. Because of more precise cutting, the raw material will also be saved with less dust emitted into the atmosphere. 

The main beneficiaries of this project, in addition to the PP are employees of PP who will work in better and heathier environment, but also society in general, because of positive impact of this project to the environment.
