Description

DOK-ING Ltd is international market leader in robotic systems for special purposes established in 1991 in Croatia, and its core activities are as follows:

- Innovative demining, firefighting and mining program – today, company covers 60% of global market for demining machines in the light systems segment,

- Innovative unmanned dual-use systems - In 2016, it launched R&D of a remote-controlled vehicle for operation in extreme conditions.

To maintain its competitiveness in the changing and challenging global environment, DOK ING wants to make strategic shift towards waste management equipment.

Global fashion industry currently produces over 92 mil tons of textile waste annually (with trends of growing), which is currently being disposed through landfilling or incineration (only 2% is being recycled). Also, current trend in favor of artificial materials is even more problematic for the environment. This makes textile industry responsible for approx. 10% of all global emissions. There is a need for introduction of new technology for the textile waste disposal, which is also requirement of EU legislative framework, but adequate solution on the market does not exist.

With this project, the Project Promotor wants to develop a Mobile Waste Management Gasification Solution (MWMGS). The project is currently in TRL5, with aimed finalization at TRL8.

The solution will provide:

- Clean syngas to be used for space heating and sanitary hot water preparation,

- Environmentally neutral composition of flue gas emitted into the environment,

- Reuse of process water used for syngas purification,

- Energy self-sustainable process of gasification

- Safe and environmentally friendly waste treatment,

- Solid residue with high percentage of carbon, to be reused in construction industry.

With the new solution developed as a result of this project, Company will be able to diversify its product range, expand to new markets and increase its revenues and profit.
