Description

The company is a small sized, family owned producer of metal boxes, and according to revenues earned it is among top ten metal boxes producers in Croatia.

This project will invest in new machines that are essential for increasing the production capacities and further automation of the production – press brake machine and sharpening machine with cutting. Increased capacity of the company will support company''s further growth as it will enable it to take over new clients, not only in Croatia, but also in other European Countries, with main focus on Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Switzerland. Investment will enable keeping operational costs at the current level and will lead to increased revenues and profit.

The machines also have positive green impact as they use less electricity and emit less dust in atmosphere, thus improve working conditions of workers.

Summary of project results

Ambroz d.o.o. operates within metal industry, where precision is very important. Still, many operations are done on outdated machines or manually, which is why both, productivity and precision are lower than optimal. To remain competitive, by decreasing unit costs, and to be able to increase exports to other European countries, Ambroz needed further investment into automation of its production, and this is the problem that this project addressed.

With this project, Ambroz d.o.o. invested into new machines  -  press brake machine and sharpening machine with cutting. This has significantly increased its production capacities and quality of their products, while it decreased the unit cost of the products, making the company more competitive. As a result, the company was able to attract new clients, on Croatian market and in other European countries.

The output has therefore been fulfilled, and that is innovative technologies/processes/solutions applied (new to the company).

The project is expected to result with significant increase of both, revenues and profit (both above 50% by 2024, in comparison to 2020), and two new employments. It is still too early to report on business results achieved by the project, as the year 2024 has just started.

The project is also expected to have a positive impact on Ambroz'' working environment and green impact on the environment in general, because of less scrap material (saving in metal), and savings in electricity

The positive impact on company''s workers is already obvious - the automation of the production process has led to better, clearer working environment, with less particles of dust emitted into the environment and lower noise generated.  As for other green indicators under the project, it is also too early to report on them.
