Description

Currently, the information gathered by the customs authorities cannot be managed easily and effectively in the national customs systems. Customs procedures between countries and when managing customs declarations are time consuming and inefficient. Live Technologies OÜ is developing a software module that tackles these challenges. The objective of the Live Technologies development is to create a separate cross-border customs module for its existing Livesoft supply chain and information software platform, which will help companies and customs agents to streamline and automate the customs clearance process. The Livesoft customs module is targeted for customs agents and companies going through the customs procedures. The aim of this small project is to decide and be confident in the feasibility, necessity, cost-effectiveness and viability of the development idea. In order to make these decisions, it is necessary to conduct a partner search and all the necessary preliminary studies.

The project is focusing on market research and competition analysis compilation, also  business plan and the economic viability of the project. Detailed development plan of the software will be developed and partner search will be carried out. Methodology and projections for impact assessment will also be developed. The cross-border customs module that will be developed will help to make the customs procedures between Estonia and Norway more efficient and simpler. The main benefit for both, the customs agencies and the companies going through the customs procedures, will be the time saved. The customs agents will require less work force for completing the same tasks and the entities going through customs procedures can easily use the data entered in the customs database for their own reporting and statistics.
