Description
The large amount of food that is wasted annually in the world is a major global problem. According to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, every year 30%-50% of food in restaurants, shops, households and the general food industry is thrown away, resulting in more than 25% of environmental greenhouse emissions.
The objective of the project is to prepare for the main project, aimed at developing and introducing to the market an exclusive ICT system of food monitoring solution for manufacturing, logistics and commercial end- customers. Thinnect intends to solve the described problem by creating a solution that monitors the conditions of the food production and handling across the whole cold supply chain (Cold Chain). The new product is expected to reduce food waste by 40%, saving up to 15% of the meat industry’s resources.
This project aims to feasibility studies of the product, such as feasibility plan with technical analysis and market research, creating an impact prognosis of the new product, an activity and project plan for the main project. In addition, a partner from Norway is found with whom the main project will be carried out.
