Description
Qure Data Management Platform is a web-based database software, that can be used for the collection, handling, and analysis of data under high quality, security, and robustness requirements, including in the health and medical sector. The platform is currently utilized in the clinical research sector. To widen the client base and secure the growth of the enterprise, it is necessary to offer integrated solutions. The missing piece is an end-user interface, e.g., an electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO). The interface would enable Quretec to provide a full service of data management in Estonia, but principally in foreign markets. The main hindering factor affecting the development of the ICT solution is the lack of user-based experience. Therefore, Quretec OÜ, in cooperation with the University of Tartu Estonian Genome Center, is initiating a project, which objective is to develop further the existing Qure Data Management platform. The Genome Center would enable to reach the end-users (gene donors) and gain their valuable feedback for the development idea. Combining the provided information with the existing gene data will enable to make further connections between genetic variations and gene-related diseases, which will create the basis for the development of personalized medicine.
In the framework of the small scheme project, preparatory activities will be carried out, including mapping the user needs/preferences, technical refinement of the development idea, conducting business studies and planning the market expansion potential, and establishing collaborative relationships with a Norwegian partner.
