Description
The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of non-formal education centres to involve less-competitive people with fewer opportunities to lifelong learning (LLL). During the project, a joint communication plan 2020-2024 of the Association and its members will be developed which will also include guidelines on how to engage students with fewer opportunities; a collection and publishing of success-stories about participation in LLL will be launched, and seminars on how to support less-competitive people in LLL will be conducted. As a result of the project the information on LLL will be better available for learners, the communication activities of non-formal education centres are more efficient and their role in local communities has increased.
Summary of project results
The problem in Estonia is how to involve people with fewer opportunities and thus less competitive living in rural areas to lifelong learning. This is expected from non-formal education associations who lack of know-how and human resources. As a result of the project, a communication plan has been developed that includes guidance on how to reach a low-skilled learner and also cooperate with local governments in these topics. During the project, the mission, vision and values of the organization were formulated. Two trainings for trainers were organized, articles on non-formal education were published and two co-operation seminars were held. Several working group meetings were held and feedback was received from members.
A total of 58 people participated in various forms of cooperation. Indirect beneficiaries are learners who, for some reason, are not involved in lifelong learning. The sustainability of the project lies in trained members and increasing their knowledge.
