Description

The aim of the project is the development of Estonian Youth Mental Health Movement’s strategic management in order to empower and serve as the voice of its target group on social and political arena.  There will be trainings on multiple topics such as inclusive leadership, project writing, advocacy work and communicating with the media. A strategy document will be compiled to improve the systematic work of the organisation and all throughout the project the target group will be a part of it to empower them. Organisation members will be engaged both in the management and activities of the organisation that will lead to their active contribution to the advocacy on behalf of youth with mental health problems.

Summary of project results

The main aim of the project was to develop Estonian Youth Mental Health Movement organization’s strategic activities and leadership to improve the organization’s sustainability to help voice out the opinions of the marginalized. In the course of the project organization''s strategic development plan for 2021-2025 was developed whereby over 200 people took part. There were trainings held on media, inclusive leadership, project management and advocacy; over 90 people benefitted from experimental counselling. As a result of the project the organization now has tools to go forward, its membership is more engaged and the organization is better known among its target group.
