Summary of project results
The aim of this project coordinated by Technical University of Liberec was to organize a professional online workshop for Norwegian students at NTNU to enhance their knowledge of the Czech economy, business practices, and companies operating in the Czech Republic. The goal was to improve students'' professional, social, and intercultural skills.
The Industry Engagement Workshop on Logistics Management was conducted online in Gjovik. Over four days, students participated in three expert lectures, two virtual company tours, and a virtual reality tour of Prague, which provided an immersive experience of the Czech business environment. To support preparation for the workshop, students were given access to a series of informative videos featuring the companies highlighted in the lectures and tours. The workshop significantly contributed to the practical knowledge of the participating students. It also increased the attractiveness of the study programmes at both technical universities and strengthened institutional cooperation between students and teachers from both countries. Student feedback collected on the final day of the workshop indicated that the programme encouraged critical thinking and broadened students’ perspectives on the Norwegian economy and system, as well as the Czech business landscape.
This collaboration has led to a deeper partnership between NTNU and TUL, enhanced cooperation in science and research, and positive changes in students’ professional and cultural perspectives. The project has laid a strong foundation for further educational and research collaborations between the two institutions.
