Description
The project will contribute to the professional growth of Czech performers in the genre of physical experimental theatre, who will have the opportunity to learn and deepen the creative method developed by the international studio Farm in the Cave in cooperation with Norwegian partners.
Both partners give the project great added value through professional supervision (in investigative journalism, media studies) and artistic cooperation proven in a previous successful collaboration.
Based on several months of research, we will organize three performances, a 3-month interactive exhibition, two media round tables, six workshops, and two seminars for youth, university students and the public.
The project contains a unique combination of performance research and artistic creation, wherein a broadly interdisciplinary context, artists from different fields (performing arts, visual arts, video design, online culture) will meet with experts from a wide range of disciplines. The project is based on sharing the best practices, experience, and know-how of leading experts in their fields.
The project will be realized from April 2022 until July 2023. Activities: Preparation and implementation of interdisciplinary performance research; Devising – theatre rehearsals incl. work-in-progress presentation; Creating music, visual and stage concept of a new theatre production incl. the premiere and reprising; Accompanying activities (interactive exhibition, production of video artifacts, seminars and workshops), and also launching a nationwide marketing campaign that will cultivate perception and communication on social networks.
The Online Hero project will raise awareness of the dangerously growing phenomena of ONLINE HATE AND DISINFORMATION spread worldwide on social networks.
The project is aimed at the general public, youth 12+ and young people over 18 (target groups potentially affected by online hatred and misinformation).

The "Online Hero" project tackled online hatred and disinformation destabilizing democratic principles. It aimed to expose these phenomena and foster critical thinking through art and research. Challenges included adapting to shifting topics (e.g., the Ukraine conflict) and inflation affecting the budget. The project format was adjusted to address current audience needs, ensuring maximum impact.
During the "Online Hero" project, interdisciplinary research on online hatred was conducted, including expert workshops, a Think Tank, and interviews with disinformation specialists. The research findings inspired the creation of stage art, including a theatrical production and a video installation. We also organized educational workshops and university lectures aimed at youth and seniors. A key output was a media campaign raising awareness of these issues. These activities were essential for public education and building resilience against online manipulation. By involving experts and international partners, the project achieved a broad societal impact.

Summary of bilateral results
The "Online Hero" project has benefited greatly from intensive collaboration with two key partners from Norway. Kenneth Flak brought an interdisciplinary approach and developed new methods of connecting digital space and performance in his research. His deep knowledge of choreography and digital technologies enriched the project outputs, for example through specific workshops and discussions. Another partner, journalist and disinformation expert Oyvind Strommen, contributed expert analyses that provided context to the main themes of the project. Both partners enabled comparisons between the Czech and Norwegian environments and facilitated knowledge development, which contributed significantly to the long-term impact of the project.The main outcomes of the bilateral cooperation within the "Online Hero" project include significant shared outputs and enriched knowledge and understanding between the partners. The cooperation has contributed to a better understanding of the phenomena of misinformation and online hate in the context of the Czech and Norwegian digital environment. The collaboration has led to a broadening of awareness about misinformation and extremism through innovative artistic approaches, which has supported the long-term impact of the project on a cultural and educational level. The partnership has also created a foundation for future joint projects focusing on current societal challenges.
