Description

A coherent system of thematic websites of educational programmes of the organisations Education 2030 z.s. and Restorative School, z.s. (or others) will be created. The microsites will be managed by an editorial system with advanced functions (orders, payment gateway, etc.). Content, graphic and functional redesign of the site will be carried out. The staff managing each site will be trained in the use of the system and security procedures. Those interested in the information and/or services offered through the website will be provided with targeted content and a support offer. They will be encouraged to use them by a promotional campaign.

Summary of project results

A project aimed to create a coherent system of thematic websites of educational programmes of the organisations Education 2030 z.s. and Restorative School, z.s.. The marketing strategy of the involved organizations focused on presenting individual programs rather than the organizations themselves. However, there was insufficient interest in the offered services. The websites of the involved organizations were not ranking on the first pages of search engines for relevant keywords. Users who did visit the websites were not engaging in interactions that would lead to using the offered services. There was no data on website traffic and no know-how on how to improve the websites to make them more attractive.

During the project, we focused on three areas:

We searched for a suitable technology for the website''s content management system (CMS). We strived for it to be as easy to use and stable as possible.

We adjusted the content of the thematic websites to make them attractive to search engines and to direct visitors to inquiries about the services.

We adjusted the technologies and processes of website management to minimize our workload while increasing interest in our programs and the use of our services.

At the end of the project, we achieved positive results in all areas:

We found that implementing a massive professional CMS (WordPress) did not bring the expected results. The system was unstable and the learning curve for operation was long. We began to fully utilize the technology of the existing CMS (Google Sites) and eliminated the bugs that were preventing success.

We were able to modify the content of the pages so that our pages would appear on the first page of the most important search engines when keywords were entered. We organized the information so that the number of users who contacted us through the website increased.

We trained key workers from each program to operate their thematic websites so that they update information consciously, safely, and quickly. We implemented forms into the pages that are linked to business case management software. Ordering services, payment requests, payment matching, and an overview of users of individual events is fully automated.
