Charita Český Těšín is a non-profit organisation employing more than 150 people in the cities of Český Těšín, Havířov, Karviná and surrounding villages. The work in charita is very heterogeneous and often also uneasy. We do not have many opportunities to meet colleagues working in other locations, nevertheless we need to cooperate to make our services better. In the framework of the project we expect our employees will learn how to use digital tools effectively with regard to the multiple tasks we do daily in our services. The aim of the project is to use available tools in order to save our time, make our work performance more effective and enable us to spend time on more important issues, which is taking care of our clients.
Summary of project results
We have many experts in the field of social and medical services, unfortunatelly in our organisation, there was a lack of experience and knowledge of digital literacy and use of modern technology in general. The biggest disadvantage was that we were not able to use digital tools that had been already available to us. The mindset of our colleagues was not open to use of digital technology. This project has encouraged our employees and gave them all the necessary knowledge to use digital tools in order to make their work more effective and save time spent on paperwork.
In the Framework of the project we organised one webinar and two workshops for the emplyees. The webinar was for all our employees taking part in the project, the workshops were held in two different terms, one of them aimed at the employees with the beginner level of knowledge, the second one aimed at those with advantage level. The biggest activity of the project was online academy, which introduced us various topics (the use of cloud storage, data safety, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint etc.). Each employee could go through the academy at his own pace. The last activity planned in the project was the consultation with an external expert. He provided us with very useful information and insights in the use of digital tools in our organisation.
The aim of the project was to educate 45 employees of the organisation Charita Český Těšín in the use of digital tools, especially MS Teams, external cloud storages, Microsoft 365 etc. The employees are able to use efectively these tools to spend less time at the computer and more time with providing care to our clients. We use cloud storage in the way it protects data and keeps it safe from misuse. We showed our employees that digital tools are not waste of time, but on the other hand, they can be used in the order to save time.
