Description

Athelas, the hospice providing care at home, has been established in 2014. Since the support received from public health insurance or grants received from the local and regional authorities covers only the half of our costs, so we have to raise money ourselves. Therefore, we reach our donors, both private and corporate, through various platforms and events. On the other hand, this is associated with the administrative burdens (registration process, issuance of confirmations, donation contracts, etc.), which take time from our employees and cause additional costs. Czech online CRM from non-profitable organizations would reduce our time requirements by 70% and would lead to the significant financial savings. The aim is to automatize donor care - the time and costs saved will be then devoted to expanding and deepening the fundraisinf activities. The fundraiser will thus gain significant time opportunities for searching and addressing new donors and deepening cooperation with existing ones. Target group is the patients of the Athelas, who use our services, as the efficient running of our organization is possible thanks to donations

Summary of project results

The project aimed to automatize processes in our internal donor care. Athelas, the hospice providing home care, has to raise money itself to be able to cover all necessary costs. The support received from the public authorities covers 50% of total costs only. The caring for our donors is ensured by the fundraiser, who is employed at the hospice. Previously, this agenda took up to 30% of the fundraiser''s time (registration process, issuance of confirmations, donation contracts, etc.), which resulted in the significant time and cost requirements. The database of donors kept in Excel was no longer sustainable and did not comply with GDPR regulations.

We were able to purchase the software system (including training) for donor care, which allows to save our time and money for administration of fundraising. Now we can aim our effort to reach out new sources for financing and implement continuous improving activities in favor of our patients.

The project allowed to automatize processes in our internal donor care. The time and costs already saved can be devoted to expanding and deepening fundraising activities. Now, the fundraiser has considerable time space to search and reach out new donors and to deepen the cooperation with the existing ones. The high level of security of the collected data is another great benefit. Primarily, the project was intended for our employees (fundraisers).
Secondary target group is the patients of the hospice because the efficient running of our organization can be guaranteed through the sufficient financing from private sources. Thus, the most modern palliative care is available for all our patients.
