Description

The St. Joseph''s Home is the only inpatient facility for people with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the Czech Republic. It serves up to 400 patients a year. But many more people need help. There are more than 20 000 MS patients in the Czech Republic. Due to Covid-19 many of them remain at homes without any care - see the press video release from the Czech MS register https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEu7jfjcbHA. This fact and the pandemic situation lead us to develop online professional counseling service. We have provided hundreds of hours of counselling so far. However, we are facing 2 problems: 1) We lack effective software for connecting with the client and recording therapies, 2) We lack funds for covering the operational costs of the counseling service. Therefore, the purpose of the project is implementation of software, CRM Salesforce, which will help us record counselling activities effectively, securely and simply, work with donors and connect them with MS patients who need help. 11 employees, especially therapists, of the St. Joseph''s Home will be trained in working with this special software. Thanks to SW to be implemented and therapists to be trained we expect to help 5000 people with MS and their carers to higher self-sufficiency at their homes.

Summary of project results

Improved informativeness of our employees – we have data from calls and email interventions in one system. We improved the service of specialised consultation office for multiple sclerosis patients and because of reports we can have overview of all data and analyse them. We connected module for interventions with PR system which now allows us to get in touch with our target group and tell them about our services and activities (for example campaigns and newsletters). Being more self-sufficient is the key part of our service with MS clients and the whole digitalisation project helped us to improve our procedures which now allow us to give them more of our time. We also now get a follow up about all of the services we provide and need to know for other reporting.
