Description

The project proposal will implement innovative approach for developing employment in Lyaskovets Municipality through activating possibilities for trading with local products and encouraging flexible work practices for creating employment possibilities for people form disadvantaged groups. The main target are the unemployed and inactive persons, living on the territory of Lyaskovets Municipality. The main reason is the lack of enough “market space” for trade with local products. The infrastructure of the municipal market in Dzhulyunitsa village is in poor condition and the means invested in the supporting infrastructure means are quite insufficient and given the growing interest from local producers, farmers and other manufacturers of local products from the region, there is a high demand for funding the improvement of the infrastructure for suitable conditions for presenting local products. Another main problem, which will be resolved with the implementation of the project proposal, is avoiding the traffic congestions, occurring with the current placement of the traders and clients and will create work possibilities for new jobs for unemployed and inactive people in Lyaskovets Municipality. In the recent years the municipal market is an attractive place for presenting local products. The main accent is to provide market areas in which every local producer and farmer can present their products, to expand the reach and to improve the infrastructure of the municipal market. With the implementation of the project proposal it is aimed to: Improve 1947 sq.m. adjacent infrastructure of the municipal market in Dzulyunitsa village; Provide adequate conditions for the local producers and farmers to present their local products; Create three employment opportunities for “Security controller” and one “General worker” positions in the municipal market in Dzulyunitsa for the period of 12 months.

Summary of project results

The main problem addressed by the implementation of the project was the avoided traffic jams caused by traders and buyers, and an opportunity provided to open jobs for unemployed and inactive persons living on the territory of Lyaskovets.

The main activity under the project was the hiring of unemployed and inactive persons for the municipal market in Dzhulyunitsa village, for which a procedure was carried out for selection of people from the target group and, accordingly, contracts were concluded with the approved people.

As a consequence of the project implementation, 1947 sq.m. of adjacent infrastructure within the scope of the municipal market in Dzhulyunitsa village were improved and appropriate conditions were provided for the local business and farmers to offer their local products. The main goal achieved under the project was the creation of employment for four people for a 12-month period, who exerted control on the implementation of the municipal market in Dzhulyunitsa for sale of local products from the territory.
