Description

The project proposal includes construction of a geothermal heat pump installation for heating, cooling and domestic hot water supply in the building of the kindergarten "Edelweiss", located at Velingrad Municipality, Velingrad, 4 Dobri Chintulov Str. The internal modules of the system / water-to-water heat pumps / will be located in the existing boiler room. External circle: it consists of vertical drills, in each of which a geothermal set is installed and subsequent injection of the necessary materials. The system will provide energy transfer between the ground and the indoor units of the heat pump system. Water-to-water heat pump units. Internal circuit: the hot or cold water received from the heat pump units enters a buffer vessel from which it will go to the heating / cooling pipe system through a circulation pump. It is planned to supply a new boiler for domestic hot water supply. A central water pump heating installation is provided - a closed system. The premises will be heated and cooled by fan convectors. In order to ensure energy monitoring, means for measuring and controlling the heat consumption will be installed.

Summary of project results

The main goal of the project is to increase energy efficiency in the building and reduce harmful emissions, as well as reduce electricity costs and achieve maximum energy savings by integrating a geothermal heat pump for heating, cooling and domestic hot water supply.

-Efficiency of the grant to the estimated annual production of thermal energy for heating and DHW, and energy for cooling from geothermal energy (P, BGN/kWh) - 2.04 BGN/kWh
-Efficiency of the grant to the amount of greenhouse gas emissions saved as a result of using geothermal energy and other renewable energy for heating or heating and cooling (Y, BGN/tCO2) - 1,727.78 BGN/tCO2
-Share of geothermal energy in the final energy for heating, cooling and hot water supply, after project implementation (Z,%) - 78%v

Summary of bilateral results

Improved bilateral cooperation with interested stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency to present good practices and future development of the city and the municipality in this regard.
