Description

The purpose of the visit/project was twofold – to discuss the partnership of the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies and the Institute for Labour and Family Research within foreseen mutual project and to attend the 3rd European Conference on Domestic Violence that took place in Oslo on September, 1 – 4, 2019.

The mutual project discussed is titled “Improving the victim-oriented approach – a tool enhancing the capacity to fight violence against women and domestic violence” that addresses the need to implement a comprehensive and multiagency intervention in domestic and

Summary of the results

Beneficiary and partner discussed purposes of the project partnership of the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS) and the Institute for Labour and Family Research (ILFR) within foreseen mutual predefined project, moreover they attended 3rd European conference of domestic violence (ECDV) that took place in Oslo. Both partners specified the details in terms of activities, time frame and cooperation procedures. It is planned that NKVTS will have an active role in monitoring, research project and expert consultation of other related project activities e.g. "Feasibility study for sexual assault services or specialization of police officers". The ECDV is the largest conference on the issue and enabled ILFR representatives to be in touch with the recent developments in the area, that will be used in further ILFR activities. ILFR representative presented paper within the session "Politics, policy making and activism" and participated in a plenary panel.
