Description

The gender pay gap in Slovakia has long been above the average for the EU level. Iceland example could be used as a good practice since its policies belong to the most progressive in the world. The law on Equal Pay Certification entered into force in January of 2018, by additions to provisions of the Icelandic Gender Equality Act. The immediate effect was a requirement that all ministries and workplaces with 250 or more staff members on an annual basis are supposed to obtain Equal Pay Certification by the end of the year 2018.
