This initiative aims at supporting the carrying out of the pre-defined project “Judicial training and capacity building” by establishing the content of the Partnership Agreement to be concluded between the project partners (Superior Council of Magistracy and Norwegian Courts Administration), including the concrete roles and responsibilities of the project partners, the implementation methodology of the said project and fine tuning of the final aspects of project implementation. Summary of the results

Following the meeting organised in Trondheim (Norway), during 11-12 December 2018, attended by 2 SCM representatives and 6 representatives of NCA and other Norwegian institutions with competences in the project field and considering the subsequent steps taken, the application of the predefined project “Judicial training and capacity building” was fine tuned in terms of evaluation of outcome indicators, the financing contract for the predefined project being subsequently signed in 2019. Also the content of the Partnership Agreement (PA) to be concluded between the SCM and NCA was established, and the PA was signed in 2019. As well the principles regarding the content and the organisation of trainings in an efficient manner, the implementation methodology focusing on the profile of the Norwegian and Romanian experts and the unitary methodology for their selection, targeting specific needs of the Romanian judiciary and the target group of the pre-defined project, as well as specific aspects regarding the purchase of IT equipment in the predefined project were discussed. Two proposals for further bilateral initiatives to be jointly implemented by SCM and NCA in order to support the implementation of the predefined project were made.
