Description

Main objective: to use existing, urban multicultural heritages in European capitals of culture (ECC) to promote local development through cultural entrepreneurship. Positive local economic development is best be achieved when capitalizing on existing strengths and abilities in a participative manner and being European capital of culture presents a unique situation to enable such approaches.

Summary of the results

Both the main objective of the initiative: using the existing multi-cultural urban heritage in the European Capitals of Culture to promote local development through cultural entrepreneurship and the secondary objectives: round table and workshop in Norway, editing of a bilingual volume Modern techniques for restoring and promoting cultural heritage for sustainable urban development and organizing an exhibition Urban culture versus urbanization were achieved.

In addition to the activities mentioned in the original application, an Andrei Ivanovich piano recital was also organized as an extra.
