Description

Within the framework of Bilateral Cooperation Initiatives, a partnership agreement has been signed between Kairós and the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) to promote a closer cooperation among the organisations that work in the field with vulnerable groups and communities (national partners) and to promote the know-how in financial management  based in the methodology ABCD through an workshop to be held in the University of Azores under the responsibility of the Norwegian partner. Summary of the results

This BCI consolidated a Consortium in perspective of bilateral cooperation Azores-Norway, to continue a network relationship allowing the maintenance of a flow of sharing methodologies and good practices and exchange of experiences and ways of participatory action for integral mobilization resources (endogenous, exogenous, public, private, social and community) in socioeconomic work initiatives with communities and vulnerable people. The consolidation of the bilateral network, based on “informal” commitment between the BCI entities, will allow the extension of the contact channels to a second Norwegian organization - Moster NGO, which has been working on municipality of Bømlo (Norway) using the ABCD methodology. It is equally interested in being part of the Informal Consortium and integrate the joint mobilization effort to design and submit a socioeconomic intervention project together for vulnerable people and communities in Azores to “Large Projects / Outcome 3. As an indirect result of the Initiative took place the unofficial visit of the Norwegian Ambassador to Portugal to the Kairós Cooperative, who has demonstrated the intention to meet entities that in the Azores were benefiting from financial support from the EEAGrants. A visit was made to some of Kairós'' initiatives and at the end of that day a working meeting between Mr. Ambassador and the Board of Directors of Kairós. In addition Kairós released news in the media, also highlighting the EEA Grants.
