Summary of the results

BCI promoted the reinforcement of cooperation, sharing and knowledge exchange in order to solve the social problem. With effects perceived by the population and consequences reflected in limiting social change, the absence of initiatives able to influence public policies and capable of transforming social reality with transversal knowledge and experiences among NGOs was presented as a social problem that could be addressed. So,Psientífica and IDN, worked in this BCI to promote a training process for NGOs, through experimentation and mentoring process, promoting international dialogue that manages to achieve a more adjusted, critical and assertive interventionist action by NGOs, with real results and impacts on communities. Main results are:Empowerment of Portuguese NGOs and Donor countries in the areas of advocacy and public policy monitoring; Empowerment in the area of fundraising and diversification of funding sources; Empowerment in the area of volunteer management;Empowerment in the design, execution and evaluation of social projects;Empowerment of NGOs through the process of training, experimentation and mentoring. The main activities implemented were:Project monitoring;Project evaluation;Streamlining the media;Compilation of good practices;Sharing Practices I and II; Local Training Sessions;Local sessions of application and validation of learning;Local project co-construction sessions;Closing event;Dissemination and edition of a project booklet.
