Description

The main aim of the initiative is to establish new and develop existing business relations and cooperation among Polish and Norwegian entities active in marine and maritime industries and interested in solutions related to the "blue growth" technologies. The event takes place on-site, at the Nor-Shipping 2022 trade fair in Oslo/Lillestrøm, Norway (postponed from January 10-13, 2022 to April 04-07,  2022, due to the pandemic restrictions introduced in Norway in December 2021). There are two types of planned activities:

1) a seminar with a discussion panel on:


  • sustainability in the ocean/blue

Summary of the results

PARP, with Innovation Norway (partner institution), prepared and implemented "Polish-Norwegian marine and maritime dialogue" - the bilateral event during the Nor-Shipping 2022 trade fair in Lillestrøm, Norway. The event took place on 5th April 2022 and had an on-site formula with the physical location at Thon Hotel Arena, just opposite the Norges Varemesse (Norwegian Trade Fair) where the Nor-Shipping trade fair has been located. The event agenda consisted of a seminar session with two discussion panels followed by business mixer among participants from Poland and Norway.

The exchange of current expert knowledge and experiences of Polish and Norwegian actors on the Polish & Norwegian marine & maritime markets'' potential is the main result of the event. 
The seminar involved 2 introductory presentations on sustainability in the blue economy and offshore power generation, followed by 2 discussion panels. There were 6 Norwegian and 2 Polish experts engaging in discussion moderated by the representatives of the Oslo office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. There have been also speeches from Polish Ministry of Climate on Polish Offshore Wind Sector Deal, as well as from Innovation Norway and PARP on support for the development of Polish-Norwegian cooperation. The event was attended by 54 people, including 37 participants representing Polish and 17 representing Norwegian institutions.
