Description

The main aim of the initiative is further development of bilateral business relations of Polish and Norwegian companies in the renewable energy industry. There are two types of planned activities: 1) a seminar on a Norwegian specialisation concerning this industry, followed by: 2) a business-mixer session with Norwegian and Polish companies, which are going to be organised during Green Power trade fair in Poznan. The initiative will be targeted at participants of the trade fair and other interested companies.

The costs will include travel and accommodation for 10 Norwegian entrepreneurs coming

Summary of the results

The main aim of the initiative was to develop bilateral business relations of Polish and Norwegian companies in the renewable energy industry. Green Power trade fair in Poznan scheduled for 21st-23rd  October 2020, which was the originally planned arena for the event, has been cancelled.

According to the Cooperation Committee resolution no. 2/2020 from 23.06.2020, (§1 (7)) the real-life event has been replaced by online matchmaking and webinar on 19th October 2020. 

The webinar has been transmitted via MS Teams application, 10 am - 1 pm. There were 4 slots with case studies and presentations from 1 Norwegian and 3 Polish speakers on the innovativeness of the renewable energy sources, waste management and CSR concept in the energy industry in the face of environmental and social challenges in the post-COVID-19 era, preceded with a presentation on the essence Polish-Norwegian business cooperation. 56 participants took place in the event, including 40 Polish companies, 1 Icelandic and 15 Norwegian entities and 17 Polish-Norwegian meetings were held, followed by further 3 meetings a couple of days after the initiative ended.

There we no major deviations from originally approved, the indicative formula for this initiative.
