Description

The project consists in organizing and conducting 4 summer 12-day away educational workshops in Ruciane-Nida and Biały Dunajec for 80 mothers and 120 children with refugee status, currently staying in Białystok, Łomża, Drohiczyn, Zambrów, Pisz, Orzysz and Mrągowo and  surrounding areas.  During the workshops, mothers with children will participate in activities supporting their adaptation due to the need to stay in a foreign country.  Language workshops on social competences, including personal development, assertiveness, dealing with trauma, culinary and make-up workshops, workshops and

Summary of the results

Ruciane-Nida, addressed to 80 mothers and 120 children with refugee status, staying in Białystok, Łomża, Drohiczyn, Zambrów, Pisz, Orzysz and Mrągowo. During the workshops, mothers with children participated in language workshops, social skills workshops, including personal development, assertiveness, dealing with trauma, culinary workshops and activating trainings. In order to increase the possibility of obtaining employment, all participants of the project took part in vocational trainings, improving and supplementing their competences, and were provided with psychological as well as information and counseling support. The children, on the other hand, participated in animation and development activities, short trips and development games. The project had a positive impact on the integration processes between refugees, their children and the local community, which allowed participants to forget about the worries of recent months, as well as alleviating trauma, pain, depression and motivated them to continue. Thanks to the workshops and trainings, mothers raised their professional qualifications, which opened a new career path for them, and children became more open in local environments.
