Description

The participants of our project will be 20 women refugees from Ukraine and 30 children under their legal guardianship, living in the district of Wąbrzeźno. It is one of the smallest districts in Poland. As refugee women live in small villages they have no access to the labour market, which is full of job opportunities, and they are excluded in terms of communication. Summary of the results

The camp was held from 25.07 -1.08 in Skórcz, in Moltobene hotel. As part of the project, we conducted 3 types of workshops, mandatory for all participants- 1. is a digital workshop divided into several thematic blocks.
2.workshops on social skills during which participants could learn about their strengths, coping with stress and workshops on handicrafts. The 3rd type of workshop was a support group, a class during which participants could share their own experience. While the mothers participated in the workshops, there were also classes for children aged 3 and older (younger children were taken care of by hired nannies). There were classes on chemistry experiments, math using Montessori materials, coding on the carpet or GeniBot and drone programming. During all workshops, we had 2 interpreters at our disposal, 1 for children and the other for adults.
In addition, we implemented integration activities for the whole group. We took part in canoeing, climbing in the rope park and went to Szymbark where we spent time sightseeing. The stated goals of the project were achieved, the participants were eager to participate in workshops and integration meetings. Before the implementation of the turnout, we had to increase the area of obtaining participants due to the lack of willing participants (some refugees from our district returned to Ukraine). Due to some savings, we increased the number of participants (planned to be 20)
