Description

Climate mitigation policies comprising peatlands restoration/rewetting are contemplated for both Poland and Iceland, including the projects implemented by the Applicant and the Partner. Because of its innovative nature peatlands’ re-wetting requires international exchange of experience regarding methodological problems of sites’ identification, evaluation, re-wetting techniques, monitoring of successions, post-rewetting habitat management as well as generation and selling out of the carbon credits.
