Description
That projects include the epidemiology of equine infectious diseases, diagnostic test development and evaluation, and antimicrobial resistance. However, student will cooperate with other researchers working with ruminant and pig diseases. Most of the projects include laboratory analyses, field studies, and collecting samples on farms around Poland. This internship will be highly beneficial for the further academic career of the visitor. Summary of the results
During the implementation of the scholarship, in accordance with the application, the Scholar was involved in projects led by Dr. Lucjan Witkowski. She participated in research on the epidemiology of infectious diseases of horses, development and evaluation of diagnostic tests and the occurrence of drug resistance of bacteria isolated from horses.
During the project, the scholar completed her studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, obtained the right to practice as a veterinarian and began working in the profession. While completing the scholarship remotely, the scholar improved her professional competences as a veterinarian through internships and clinical work, as well as contacts with employees and doctoral students of Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Independent Department of Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics). She had the opportunity to discuss thematic publications and publications of research results conducted in this unit with members of the international team (Independent Department of Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics).
