Summary of the results
The initiative was planned to consist of two components: contest and study visits for the winning teams from Poland and Norway. The second component, due to Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, had to be cancelled. There were 50 movies sent for the contest, each was produced by a team consisting of a teacher and 6 students (making 350 contest participants). 7 teams were awarded with prizes (4 main prizes and 3 distinctions), i.e. 42 students and 7 teachers - contest participants. Number of students and teachers refers only to the Polish side - study visits and workshops did not take place because of epidemic and lockdown, resulting in the lower expenditure. The contest task required a thorough research on Polish influence on the Norwegian and/or Icelandic economy and culture disclosing full-bodied picture of our relationships and contribute to a better self and donor countries aware. Contest implied direct involvement of pupils in creative activities which they developed and executed on their own. Many teams used relations of Poles living in donor countries. Movies proved beneficial influence of Polish immigrants visible both for Polish and host country citizens showing that events, processes and changes may be beneficial for both sides.
