The Bilateral Cooperation Fund initiatives aim to enhance cooperation and develop mutual knowledge and understanding between Latvia and Norway in the sectors of green industry innovation (GII), welfare technologies (WT), and information and communication technologies (ICT).

Expected bilateral benefits:
-    Boost cooperation between Latvian enterprises and Norwegian entities in the areas of their expertise (GII, WT, or ICT).
-    Attract potential investors and scale up professionals to boost the Latvian companies’ potential for development and global expansion.
-    To build a valuable network

Summary of the results

The initiative took place in 2023, from September 25 to 29, in Oslo, Norway.  As part of the initiative, the program''s donor country partner "Innovation Norway" organized a networking event. This networking event allowed conference participants to get to know each other and start conversations about potential future collaborations. It was a unique opportunity for Latvian merchants to meet other merchants and present their business ideas, looking for potential cooperation. Two Latvian companies had the opportunity to give pitch presentations during the event.
This year, 80 different events took place within the framework of Oslo Innovation Week, which were packed with events - engaging workshops, educational seminars, dynamic networking sessions and interesting panel discussions. This allows Latvian businessmen to gain new knowledge and advice in the most relevant industries, as well as to gain new contacts with whom to build potential cooperation in the future.
In total, 150 new contacts, 38 business contacts were obtained.
