The Bilateral Cooperation Fund initiatives aim to enhance cooperation and develop mutual knowledge and understanding between Latvia and Norway in the sectors of green industry innovation (GII), welfare technologies (WT), and information and communication technologies (ICT).
Expected bilateral benefits:
- Boost cooperation between Latvian enterprises and Norwegian entities in the areas of their expertise (GII, WT, or ICT).
- Attract potential investors and scale up professionals to boost the Latvian companies’ potential for development and global expansion.
- To build a valuable network
Summary of the results
The Programme Operator organized an initiative for a trip to Innovation Week in Olso, where 10 LV entrepreneurs participated. Several events were organized within the initiative, among others, the program partner organized the networking event "Oslo Innovation Week and a Networking Event for Norwegian and Central-European Businesses", where 6 beneficiary countries, including Latvia, were present. 3 LV companies were chosen to give presentations. LV entrepreneurs took place in 10 B2B matchmaking meetings. Also, as part of the initiative, LIAA organized a reception at the embassy of Latvia in Norway and met the ambassador to Latvia in Norway, during which entrepreneurs from LV introduced themselves, their company and their vision for cooperation with Norway. As a result, 133 new contacts and at least 3 new long-term cooperation partners were obtained.
