Description

The initiative on exchange of bilateral relations aims to ensure sharing of experience and knowledge on police education system between the State Police College (Latvia), the University of Akureyri (Iceland)  and the Centre for Police Training and Professional Development of Reykjavik Metropolitan Police. 
Rationale for the planned initiative between the two educational institutions is the exchange of experience regarding the education system of police officers, organisation and implementation of professional development (further education) activities, gaining a good practice by paying

Summary of the results

Within the framework of the initiative “Experience and knowledge exchange visit on police education system of the State Police College (Latvia) to the University of Akureyri (Iceland)” acquintance has been made with the organisation of police work of the donor country (Iceland) in the field of education, succession planning of educational measures, continuing education system of police personnel, training provision infrastructure, with emphasis on the continuing education system of investigators, as well as familiarisation with the procedures by which domestic violence and gender-based violence are responded to in the donor country;
