Description

On 28–30 January, the 2nd meeting of the working group (WG) No.1 "Education" took place in France aimed to strengthen the cooperation, synergies between the 6 beneficiary states (BS) and Norway. On 2–5 February, Norway partners visited Latvia to discuss the progress and results of the programme/project, bilateral cooperation activities, financing, procurement, synergies between Norway Grants (NG) and European Social Fund projects. Representatives also visited the Addiction Centre in Olaine. On 9–11 March, a meeting took place in Latvia with Norway partners to discuss on bilateral cooperation

Summary of the results

Norway partners visited Latvia to discuss the progress and results of the programme/project, bilateral cooperation activities in 2020, financing, procurement, synergies between Norway Grants and European Social Fund projects. Representatives also visited the Addiction Centre in Olaine, getting acquainted with the activities in the centre and programmes provided. An official from Norway correctional services shared his experience of working with persons with addiction problems with Olaine Addiction centre staff. During the meeting, the participants discussed bilateral cooperation activities planned and participation in ICPA conference. Latvian Prison Administration presented the progress of project activities to representatives from Bulgarian General Directorate "Execution services" and discussed the implementation and possible application of Measuring the Quality of Prison Life survey.
