Summary of the results

The initiative, part of the ACF strategic project "Youth Participation Platform," aimed to improve youth advocacy and participation in Latvia. This bilateral exchange between Latvia and Norway strengthened the competencies of youth advocacy consultants, offering valuable insights into best practices in youth engagement. The exchange, held in April 2023, involved Latvian consultants and Norwegian experts sharing experiences through meetings with local organizations, universities, and decision-makers. It enhanced the consultants'' skills in civic engagement, leading to a proposal to improve the project''s effectiveness, and resulted in seven publications, two video reports, and eight dissemination activities across Latvia. The exchange sparked future cooperation discussions, strengthening collaboration between civil society organizations and deepening understanding of cultural and historical factors influencing civic participation. It successfully advanced the project’s goals, fostering greater collaboration between Latvia and Norway and improving youth advocacy and civic engagement efforts.
