The Research Council of Lithuania (RCL, Baltic Research Programme operator) launched a call for proposals for reimbursement of research visits to donor countries - Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway (the “Donor States”). It is new bilateral initiative addressed to applicants together with partners from donor countries, who had submitted joint applications under the Baltic Research Program’s call in Lithuania in 2020, but who did not receive funding. Summary of the results
The successful implementation of this initiative has significantly contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between research organizations and researchers from Donor States and Lithuania. By fostering both existing collaborations and paving the way for future cooperation, the initiative has created valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and professional growth.
A total of 21 researchers were supported and traveled to various research and academic institutions across different Donor States. These exchanges facilitated the sharing of expertise, the development of joint research projects, and the establishment of long-term partnerships between institutions and researchers. The initiative has proven to be an essential step toward building a strong and sustainable research network between the participating countries.
