Description

Programme launching and matchmaking event was organized in Lithuania (5 February 2020).  The objectives and conditions of the Baltic Research Programme were planning to introduce. Participants should have had the possibility to join in a matchmaking event in order to identify possible collaborators with potential partners in the Baltic States and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein and to facilitate setup a project consortia. For this event the call for travel grant was organized for researchers from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to come to this event (covering travel tickets, accommodation

Summary of the results

Lithuanian launching and matchmaking event of the Baltic Research Programme was organized in Vilnius on 5 February 2020. The event was held in Research Council of Lithuania. More than 200 researchers participated in this event. 87 researchers were from foreign countries: 56 from Latvia, 24 from Estonia, 5 from Norway, 1 from Liechtenstein and 1 from Iceland. The main objectives and conditions of the Programme were introduced. All participants had the possibility to join in a matchmaking event sessions in order to identify possible collaborators with potential partners in the Baltic States and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein and to facilitate setup a project consortia. For this event the call for travel grant was organized for researchers from donor countries: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to come to this event (covering travel tickets, accommodation and daily allowance) as well. 12 applications were submitted for travel grant and 5 of them were successfully covered after administrative evaluation. According to event feedbacks from participants the event was informative, fruitful and very well organized. Researchers made successful consortiums for further participating in Programme.
