The main objective of the use of bilateral funds was to explore bilateral cooperation, based on common interests in the area of space industries with a visit to Andøya Space.
Therefore, the aims of the study tour were as follows:
• Visit central actors to hear about the developments in Norwegian space industry
• Showcase the developments in the space industry in each country
• Boost cooperation on space industry between Norway and the Baltics, also with a view to partnerships for Horizon Europe, the European Defence Fund and other funding schemes
• Establish contact between space industry actors
Summary of the results
Study tour proved good contacts between the main players in the Estonian, Latvian and Norwegian space Industry as well as discussions on plans for the future events.
There is an interest to have more events like the study tour and Estonian Space Agency is looking into further opportunities to do so in the near future. Perhaps it should be considered to involve more countries interested in cooperation in the field of space industry.
