Summary of the results

Activity 1 – Workshop in Oslo: 3-5 October 2023. Five employees of the Estonian Maritime Museum participated from Estonia plus a representative of the Estonian Polar Club operating at the Maritime Museum.

Activity 2 – Worksop in Tallinn: 6-9 November 2023. Four employees of the Fram Museum participated in the Tallinn workshop.

Since both museums are expecting renewals or creations of permanent exhibitions in the coming years (the Estonian Maritime Museum already in 2024), the main focus of the workshops was the use of digital solutions in the creation of permanent exhibitions and the reduction of the carbon footprint in the design of exhibitions. They also got to know the solutions of both museums that are working well so far, as well as solutions that have not started working well, but which are a good place for learning. At the workshops, it was also very important to create a mutual network between two influential museums, including between different departments, which is why people from both museums from the fields of exhibitions, communication, exposition administration and science participated.
