Over the last three years, Tartu and Bodø have developed a collaboration through our common ambitions towards the European Capital of Culture (ECOC) programme. Representatives from the Bodø bidding team visited Tartu in May 2018. Since then, our two cities have been awarded ECOC status for 2024, and our teams have started the journey towards 2024.
This initiative aims to reconnect the two teams and cities, and their relevant partners after more than a year of COVID-restrictions and travel ban have limited our contact to email and online video meetings. Our programmes have developed considerably
