Description

The main goal of the initiative is to discuss the content of the selected bilateral activities within the PDP2. The purpose of the study visit is to familiarize 6 Czech experts with intervention programs that are commonly used by the Norwegian Prison Service and which will be implemented in the Czech prison system or used in the development of intervention programs for patients with addictological disorder (drug users) with different needs (substitution treatment, court-ordered protective treatment, after-treatment). Summary of the results

The project promoter of PDP2 organized a study visit to Norway in March 2019. The program was set up for three days and Czech participants met representatives  from all involved parties and partners according to the plan – KRUS, DNCS, Ila Prison and Bastøy Prison. It was focused on intervention and  familiarization of  Czech experts with intervention programs that are commonly used by the Norwegian Prison Service  - Pappa Program, Motivator and Programmes for drug users. They set up the plan, how to implement them in the Czech prison system and use in the development of intervention programs for patients with addictlogical disorder (drug users) with different needs (substitution treatment, court-ordered protective treatment, after-treatment).  

The aim of the study trip was also to get closer to Norwegian practice and based on this experience and new gained know-how to effectively set up the activities of the prepared pre-defined project. The initiative also included the translation of materials (from Norwegian into Czech) necessary for the further preparation of the pre-defined project.
