Description

The initiative is essential for the preparation of the PDP. It consists of a foreign business trip, with 3 separate meetings with experts from each Norwegian research institute/university. The representatives of these three institutions were selected as suitable partners following previous consultations. Potential partners confirmed their interest in cooperating by signing a letter of intent. At these meetings, a separate consultation with all experts about their involvement in specific project activities will take place. In personal meetings, the preparation of the project grant application

Summary of the results

The initiative, related to PDP1 - Improvement of preconditions for decentralisation and availability of public administration in the territory, took place on 20-24 May 2019 and consisted of a business trip of two Project team members to Norway (3 meetings in Kristiansand, Trondheim and Sogndal) and of a setting up an experts´ panel for the future cooperation in the respective project. We have met the goal of the initiative, signing of a letter of intent (later to be converted to the project agreement) and the expert panel setup. We, the project promoter, have established the cooperation with three partner institutions, including a specification of experts´ involvement in the project.

The main result of the bilateral cooperation is the confirmation of the interest of the foreign institutions to cooperate in the project activities and in the knowledge transfer (the use of geolocation data). The advisory group formed by experts from the academic sphere shall help us in processing large format data files (the “big data”).

We have informed the public about the activity via the web pages of the Ministry of Interior https://www.mvcr.cz/clanek/verejna-sprava-aktuality.aspx and via the article in the magazine “Public Administration” (15/2019).
