Summary of the results

The personal meeting established contacts not only between us (University of South Bohemia) and our project partner (COWI AS) but also other participants. Due to global pandeic of Covid-19 we had to postpone personal meetings to May 2022. We met together with representatives of Czech companies and state public enterprices such as Povodí Vltavy, Povodí Elbe and Czech Hydrometeorological Institute and they actively participated in the presentations and discussions. We exchanged the experince with Norwegian and Czech challenges in the aquatic environment and defined areas of cooperation. We, together with our partners (COWI AS) created the List of emergent pollutants that is available on the USB website . After the meetings we continued cooperation and the cooperation between Czech and Norwegian partners led to 2 joint mutual proposals, which were actually submited (Project proposal to 3B Trondheim call called "The effective removal of residues of pharmaceuticals in the effluent from the wastewater treatment plant using a combination of advanced oxidation processes" where University of South Bohemia was project partner and project called "Efficient removal of pharmaceutical residues from wastewater treatment plant effluent by combined advance treatment processees" submitted to KAPPA funding programme for applied research, experimental development and innovation. We are glad that we were given the opportunity to share experiences and establish cooperation.
