Description

The monitoring of vegetation health and detection of vegetation stress is important for agricultural and forestry industries worldwide. As agricultural and forestry production is strongly influenced by ongoing climate change, it is important to understand the current trends as well as to continuously monitor future changes, both in natural vegetation and in managed environments. For a systematic effort of dealing with the effect of climate change it is necessary to solve problems comprehensively worldwide, and not only at the national level. Therefore, connecting related researchers and

Summary of the results

We organized networking seminar (webinar) The Remote Sensing of Changing Climate international scientific networking seminar on March 12, 2021 via Zoom online conference solution. The seminar took place at the conference room at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, where only us organizers were in person. All active and passive participants were connected online. We had two main target groups: researchers (students included) and interested public.

Totally, 114 participants send their registrations and 84 of them attended the event. Participants from another 17 European as well as non-European countries attended.
Core scientific talks were presented by the people of Czech Republic, Norway, and also Spain and Slovakia. Other participants supported the event with the discussion. We introduced the further research funding possibilities in the end of the seminar. Participant from Spain came out as the beneficial and strategic partners (in the meaning of scientific knowledge) for our bilateral Norway-Czech Republic group. We plan to cooperate with project partners in the future, we have found intersections in our scientific work. Common research interests were identified and possibilities of funding of common research were discussed.
