Description

The matchmaking seminar for potential project promoters and project partners from donor and beneficiary states is scheduled for April 10, 2019 in Prague. The main goal of the matchmaking seminar is to strengthen and establish new cooperation to facilitate projects development and their submission to calls under the Environment, Ecosystems and Climate Change Programme. Participants will be familiarized with the focus of the Programme, they will learn about the technical aspects of grant applications and they will have possibility to meet representatives of potential project partner

Summary of the results

The matchmaking seminar was held on April 10, 2019 in Prague. The seminar was attended by 65 representatives (43 institutions) from the Czech Republic and 14 representatives (10 institutions) from Norway.

The participants managed to establish new contacts with their colleagues from partner country. They discussed a number of interesting projects in environmental protection at the seminar, some of which are still looking for a collaboration partner. Participants learnt about the established online Partnership Database, in which those interested in cooperation are welcome to register, and the Database has already received positive feedback. Those partnerships that arose from the above-mentioned match-making seminar appeared to be successful and resulted in the fact that the first call from the Bilateral fund „Trolltunga“ (allocation of € 100,000), managed by State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic, has already been allocated and a total of 10 bilateral initiatives will be supported.

Below we join the examples of the successful partnership that lead to the approved Grant Application and that have already received funding:

  1. Chimney Association – Association for Chimney Optimalization and Combustion with Norsk Energi,

  2. Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Environmental Sciences CULS Prague with NORCE Norwegian Research Centre,

  3. Beleco, z.s. with Norwegian institute for nature research and Sciencemonastery AS.
