Description

The pre-defined initiative is focused on preparation and publication of two parts of the bilingual edition of legal opinions which reflect the development of legal relations between the Liechtenstein family, the principality of Liechtenstein and Czechoslovakia during the first half of 20th century. The work will be led by two members of the Czech-Liechtenstein Commission of Historians, one on the Czech side, one on the Liechtenstein side. Both publications will be printed as well as published on-line.

Summary of the results

The created bilingual publication "The Liechtensteins in Czechoslovakia and Their Legal Status" is of fundamental importance not only for the understanding of Czech-Liechtenstein relations after 1918, but will also be a significant contribution to the history of legal thinking in the Central European region, which is also an important contribution to the understanding of the overall historical development in Central Europe in the first half of the 20th century. The resulting publications of the project are available in an electronic version on the website of the Czech-Liechtenstein Commission of Historians at https://www.flcz-historikerkommission.com/veroeffentlichungen. A total of 120 physical copies of each volume of the publication were issued. From each volume it was given:

18 copies to authors, reviewers and collaborators;

10 copies to libraries (e.g. National Library, Moravian Library, Scientific Library Olomouc, libraries of law faculties in Prague, Brno and Olomouc);

12 pieces to archives (e.g. the Archives of the Office of the President of the Republic, the Archives of Masaryk University, the Moravian Provincial Archive and the National Archive);

40 pieces were made available to the Czech side of the Commission; and

40 pieces to the Liechtenstein side of the Commission to promote its activities.
