Description

The initiative aims to:

- create an experimental documentary essay about the transformation of thinking about energy infrastructures of the future under the influence of the sound of contemporary technologies in cooperation with the Norwegian partner, the experienced and environmentally committed production company PlymSerafin, and

- create a space for sharing know-how and experience, transferring knowledge and experience in the field of Czech and Norwegian cinema.

This initiative builds on the multi-genre and interdisciplinary EEA Grants project Future Landscapes (CZ Culture Programme), which

Summary of the results

The initiative was built on the project Future Landscapes KU-CA1-068 implemented within the CZ-Culture prg. The original audio visual material was transformed into a documentary essay Invisible Landscapes. The English version can be seen at https://vimeo.com/759455283). The festival screening took place at the Academia Film Olomouc (April 2023).

The initiative reached the goals - the documentary film and film trailer were created in cooperation with T. Ostbye. The PREPARATORY phase (07/2022) included preparation of the material captured originally for Future Landscapes (KU-CA1-068), selection and categorization and the sound and visual concept of the film was prepared and the rough cut was created. The OFFLINE EDITING phase (07-08/2022) included directorial and editing work. The first final cut was consulted with a Norwegian theorist I.S.Straume. - During the ONLINE EDITING phase (09/2022), the directorial, editor, cinematography and sound works were done. - In the PREPARATION TO DISTRIBUTION phase (10-12/2022), the film trailer in CZ&ENG was created. Subtitles were transcripted, translated and deployed in the film trailer.

The initiative allowed both Czech and Norwegian partners to exchange knowledge in both the creative industry and the environmentalist approach. Mr. Ostbye was a great help in the area of dramaturgy of the film, he brought critical comments on the intelligibility for the viewer and also helped with intercultural understanding of the narration.
