The initiative

Summary of the results

With the aim to introduce a special method (PLISSIT) of working with sexuality of people with disabilities into the Czech Republic, the Promoter Freya z.s. established contacts with Norwegian experts from Verdal and spent a 5-day internship in Verdal, NO. Visits of 4 institutions were organized there and the Czech guests were introduced to the PLISSIT method and to the Verdal model. Moreover, 4 workers from Freya had been trained. Consequently, Freya organized two workshops and one conference in Prague with the participation of Norwegian partners. The topic of the workshops was the PLISSIT method and How you can create a sexuality-friendly atmosphere - 23 participants were trained. 4 Norwegian colleagues presented, 3 other partipating organizations could directly benefit from the knowledge shared (Freya z.s., NESEHNUTÍ and In IUSTITIA) - 38 participants in total. Within 2 weeks the activites were published and made available for other stakeholders.

The bilateral cooperation was very helpful for both sides and both partners would like to cooperate again in the future, they keep in touch and are planning another project.
