Description

The objective of this initiative is to explore the topic of healthy eating, obesity and influence of advertisements on consumption of food by youth in Norway and the Czech Republic. While the obesity level of young people in Norway has been stable in recent years, this problem has still been growing in the Czech Rep.

Activities will include two conferences and two workshops (CR, NO), articles and expert studies on this important topic in sociology of food and the results should serve as possible solutions to the governments, local authorities and general public. The experts shall gather and

Summary of the results

4 events (online, and "live") were organized, write 2 scholarly articles, 6 lifestyle articles were prepared/published. The share of knowledge, discussions of relevant topics connected with healthy eating such as stress, social events and the restrictions during COVID-19 pandemic, changes in the eating locations, and many more via Zoom and in person took place (during workshops). One workshop in Oslo included Researchers'' meeting where
the Czech partners met the head of SIFO researchers. Gained knowledge about healthy eating and good practices that NGOs , the government, universities, and general public can employ was enlarged
greatly. Both during the writing of the articles, and during the conferences, discussion and workshops -  information about the topics from both countries were shared. These activities led to better mutual
understanding, as the Czech republic/Norway use different ways to control the food market, advertisements, sugar taxes, etc.
